ABSTRACT
In the paper the authors give descriptions of the shell SEM structures of Rissoa membranacea (J. Adams, 1797): protoconch habitus and microsculpture, teleoconch outer surface macro- and microsculpture, teleoconch inner surface microsculpture and teleoconch sections, perpendicular and parallel to the growth lines. The descriptions are illustrated by 36 photographs. Peculiarities of the described structures are stressed and comparisons between this species and other rissoaceans studied so far are made. The authors suggest some closer relationships with Truncatella.
